Get your copy today! Beauty: You Define It magazine was a publication distributed throughout high schools in the Greater Vancouver Area (Canada). It strove to let readers define beauty in their own terms. Mandate: We are dedicated to producing an alternative magazine that challenges beauty standards and unrealistic models. We promote diverse appearances and object to harmful advertisements, which pervade our everyday lives. We believe that the mainstream opinions about fashion, beauty and what constitutes personal style are limiting and have helped to generate a culture that focuses largely on outward appearance. This is unacceptable. We challenge our culture's damaging mindset that beauty is created with products bought from companies and surgeons who 'perfect' what we are told as flaws. We will redefine beauty by creating a community of readers and writers passionate about making a change. We had to stop publishing because of lack of funding and are now being begged to make available our back issues. So, here they are! Beauty magazine's back issue collectors items are now being sold in complete sets (5 issues). They go for $10.00 USD each set (incl. tax).
